A few days ago in Chile something amazing and heart-wrenching took place. A stray dog wandered onto a freeway and was hit by a car. After being hit, the dog laid there presumably dying while no cars stopped and no one seemed to care. Except for another dog who displayed what real caring is.
Seeing his friend get hit, this dog made his way onto the freeway, risked death itself and dragged the dog to safety. Can you believe that?
Whoever says animals don't have emotions and don't deserve the same treatment we give humans is plain wrong.

This is just another example in a series of countless acts of animal bravery compassion. I believe that this documentary http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0107131/
really covers all of this fascinating field. Now we vegans have a rebuttal to when a meat eater tells us "If an animal had the chance, it would eat you."
BAM!

That is a superb story. I just interviewed Gene Baur of Farm Sanctuary and he was talking about how a pig farmer always thought that pigs were dangerous animals since they were rough with him...he didn't bother realizing that the reason the animals were mean was because he had killed a mother's piglets in front of her...
